How many TEREA cartons for a Koh Samui stay
A carton of TEREA is 10 packs, or 200 sticks. We sell them by the carton only, and with 4 days between order and delivery on Samui, it pays to get the quantity right the first time.
Here’s a rough guide at one pack a day. At half a pack a day, one carton lasts about 20 days.

Ordering 2 or more cartons also lowers the price. TEREA from Indonesia and Malaysia goes from 2,550 THB (about $74) to 2,400 THB (about $70) per carton, and Japan from 2,750 THB (about $80) to 2,600 THB (about $76). Three cartons of Indonesian TEREA for a month on the island come to 7,200 THB (about $210).
Don’t wait for the last pack
If you do need a second order, place it while you still have at least a week’s worth left. Four days is the normal transit time, and between October and December a storm can hold the ferries in port for a few days more.
November is the stormiest month. If you’re visiting then, it’s simpler to order everything for the trip up front.
Picking a device for island days

- ILUMA i ONE, from 4,200 THB (about $122). A single compact unit that runs up to 20 sessions in a row between charges. The easy pick for boat trips and long beach days.
- ILUMA i, from 5,100 THB (about $149). A holder that sits in a pocket charger, good for up to 3 sessions in a row before it goes back in the charger. Adds a touchscreen and pause mode.
- ILUMA i PRIME, from 5,600 THB (about $163). The same holder in a premium aluminum charging case.
Whichever you choose, it charges over USB-C. The user guide gives an operating range of 0–40 °C and warns against leaving it in the sun, in a parked car or somewhere damp, which on Samui means a shaded bag, not the scooter seat.
If you’re coming from an older blade IQOS, note that it won’t take TEREA, and the HEETS it used are no longer available. The TEREA page lists every flavor by region; availability is on request.
Resort rules on heated tobacco
Resorts generally treat IQOS as smoking, and most rooms are non-smoking, so ask reception where you can use it. Thai hotels commonly charge around 5,000 THB (about $146) for smoking in a non-smoking room, and heated tobacco aerosol can trigger a smoke detector in a closed room. A terrace, where the resort allows it, or the resort’s smoking area avoids both.
Villas are your own space, within whatever the rental agreement says.
